David and Joan Lincoln had a tradition in healthcare with a rich history of honoring health, stewardship, convenient touchpoints for healthcare and respecting patients and community.
The Lincolns were instrumental in supporting a number of nonprofits and educational institutions including the John C. Lincoln Health Network. Claremont Lincoln University reflects the power and potential of the Golden Rule and respect for different cultures and religions to better collaborate on global problems and to form innovative solutions.
Use all that you have learned about the mission of the Claremont Lincoln University founders to debate current health information technology (HIT) usage in light of the
current COVID-19 pandemic.
Task
Prepare a persuasive podcast that is between 5-7 minutes to explore both sides of the issue with supporting research for the student’s argument for or against the use of HIT as a strategy to address the pandemic. The persuasive podcast must contain ethical and mindful solutions for the use of HIT during COVID-19. The podcast may contain audio only, or both audio and video.
Use Zoom for the podcast (all students are provided a complementary Zoom account upon registration). Also, submit a reference document with References in APA format.
Throughout this course, students have explored a variety of uses of HIT and this assignment will give the opportunity to explore one use of HIT further. At least five high quality resources should be cited in the podcast.
Include:
Introduced the history of the use of HIT.
Both the pros and cons of the use of HIT during COVID-19 based on the Golden Rule.
At least five graduate-level resources to support stance in podcast with respect for diverse cultures and religions.
At least two mindful and ethical solutions to the use of HIT during COVID-19.
A rationale on why the solutions would be effective.
Reference page with references (at least five) in APA format.
