Student research proposal paper based on research interests. Generally, the students will develop a 5-6-page research proposal paper base-d on their research interests. The paper will incorporate a critical analytic approach to a selecte-d area of research base-d on key concepts learned in the course. The paper should have the following sections: Title Page: The title page will be presented in APA style (This will be page 1 of the paper.)
The introduction will provide the background and significance of the selected topic of the paper (e.g., Why is this topic relevant for society today?) Also, this will incorporate 3 quantitative and/or qualitative research studies from scholarly journal articles. (Approximately 1 paragraph, and no more than ½ page.)
The literature review will provide an overview of pertinent research relate-d to the selecte-d topic base-d on in-depth analysis of 3 quantitative and/or qualitative research studies from scholarly journal articles. However, it should be approximately 1 page.
This section will state approximately 2-3 research questions. Also, the questions should be specific and strong and should reflect the process of refinement gone over in class. (Approximately 1 paragraph.)
This section will describe the study that will be conducte-d and a specific description of the research design(s) that will be used to conduct the study. Also, your research design must be very specific and reflect your understanding of the concepts discusse-d in class. Again, it should be approximately 1 page.
The research ethics considerations section will provide pertinent ethical principles and areas that need to be considere-d for the propose-d study. You should cite at least 2 course texts when discussing ethical principles and considerations. (Approximately ½ page.)
