Rhetorical Analysis Essay. Use either a thematic organization, or a part-by-part organization. Both organizational methods are explained on p. 53 of TLS. In the introductory paragraph of your essay, state what type of organization you’ll be using to analyze the essay. I recommend the thematic organization, but will leave this decision up to you.
When you quote directly from the article to illustrate a point, be sure to use quotation marks and to give credit through an in-text citation which corresponds to a reference citation on the Works Cited page. While most of your references to the article will be paraphrases, you should also use quotations. Document paraphrases and quotations. Provide a Works Cited page which includes the article you are analyzing about from EAA. You may only use the article and your opinions.
Answers with the course’s readings and at least wo scholarly journal articles. The article’s purpose is to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. Sources ProQuest and EBSCOhost are great sites to find resources. Also, write in a concise and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. Additionally, the quality of your writing dictates grading criteria. On the other hand, if you use direct quotes from books or articles, place the words you copied (use parenthesis) and cite them in-line. Also, only use sources within the five-year range.
