Response Essay, Select one of the prompts below and write a 6-8 paragraph essay in response. The essay must be persuasive with a clear thesis statement. The essay must address and develop all aspects of the prompt. The support for the essay should be objective and the majority of the examples must be away from the text. You use material from at least 2 of the texts listed with the prompt, and the maximum number of allowed lines of support from the texts is 3 (This means 3 total not 3 from each). The information you select from the texts to support your thesis must be in MLA parenthetical format.
The essay must be in MLA format: Times New Roman 12 font, black, double spaced, 1″ margins, The essay must be 6-8 well developed paragraphs. Avoid writing in first or second person. Think about what the prompt is asking or suggesting. Really read the prompt closely and think about what is being asked.
Prompts: 1. An accepted notion in society is that facing challenges helps to build character. Is this always the case? Are certain challenges beyond facing? What role does one’s character play when facing a challenge? Argue the way character affects the way or ways a challenge is handled and how this may lead to personal growth.
