How you do this
By reading your selected author’s material(s), reading, critical essays on the author and his/her material(s), and deriving a solid thesis about this author. However, I don’t want to require an annotated bibliography, but if you put me in the position of doing that, I will.
What the Research Paper should look like
You MUST look at critical essays on your author, and examine how their views on that author are presente-d. Generally. this is not simply about your opinion. It is your opinion WITH support.
How to do this:
Okay, you’ve already selecte-d an author. Now you’re wondering what I want you to do. It’s simple, yet serious. You MUST discuss your selecte-d author’s purpose and how that purpose is displaye-d in his/her writing. What social issues are embedde-d in that author’s work? Why is this author presenting his/her material in this fashion? Also, what is his/her point? What is he/she saying about the social world that he/she lives in?
You should have a minimum of 5 outside sources supporting your discussion. These should be properly cited in your text, properly formatted in your works cited page, and follow the proper MLA format throughout.
The quotes should be complete sentences (no more, less) and should be incorporated in your essay to illustrate your ideas. Please, cite your sources in a clickable reference list at the end. Also, do not copy without providing proper attribution (quotation marks and in-line citations). Also, write an essay format, not in bullet form, numbering, or another list format. It would be best if you use your own words. Lastly, proofread your work and run it through Grammarly for thorough confirmation.
