Preventive Law Plan. The study context: Select a sport and recreation organization providing individual or group service to athletes. Then the general public, people with disabilities, or others. Please briefly describe the nature of this service (e.g., 1-on-1 coaching/consulting, group fitness class).
Some organizations (e.g., campus recreation) might provide more than one service and you can select one or two service(s) and have a more detailed discussion about each. Use the guideline below to describe the study context in a paragraph or two: focus on the target clients and staff who will interact directly with clients (hint: supervision and instruction issue in Ch14)
Where is this program locate-d and the spaces for the services (hint: premises liability), When is this program offere-d, How do people participate in this program (fees? transportation provided? other logistics), and Why: the organization’s objectives are met by this program.
Risk identification:
In chapter 1, risk factors include, but are not limite-d to, employment issues, premises liability, facility and equipment, other contingency issues such as weather conditions and terrorism.
This section should include at least (a) the description of risk factors and (b) an assessment of each factor.
Risk management strategies:
Based on your assessment of each risk factor, select one of the strategies: risk elimination, control, transfer, or retention. Based on your chosen strategy, describe the action you will take to manage this factor (i.e., handling).
Implementation: In the textbook, we have learned that risk control actions can be implemented by using the following methods. In your paper, choose one or two methods you think are the most important methods to control risks identified in your chosen service and have an in-depth discussion on how you will do it.
