Overview:
Personal and Professional Reflection. Reflect on your role as a counselor working with clients across the lifespan. Consider how you can apply the information on the overview of human development to your training and professional development. As counselors in training, it is important to continuously and consistently reflect on the material you learn and consider how this information is shaping your professional development.
Analysis:
One way to do this is through a personal reflection where you can talk about how you are making personal connections with the material and also what questions are coming up for you in your professional training as it relates to the content in each module. After reading and watching the required resources from this module, submit a 1-page (double-spaced) reflection using the following prompts: How do you believe this course can help you in your work as a counselor? What is one challenge you might encounter as a counselor working with clients across the lifespan? What is one benefit of applying the biopsychosocial model?
