Inspiration and Role Model. This week you’ll complete your profile paper, by adding to your draft. The paper in the end is an overview of your subject person. However, showing us their personality, their goals and priorities and your interest in them. Use the guideline of Five Hallmarks as we covered in the text Creative Nonfiction to build a good essay around this person.
Your research should be about the person’s life, details about them, and be used to deepen your coverage of their lives in many ways. Remember!! You can interview them, and that would one of your sources (hint: there is a formal, accurate way to cite interviews, on OWL-Purdue in MLA style for your Works Cited page.). Interviewing helps because then you have a scene to show, dialogue, setting, in ways that fulfill the Five Hallmarks.

Ultimately, you need: 4-6 pages total. 3-4 research sources, which can include an interview with your profile subject person. to include the Five Hallmarks of essay, as covered in Gerard in early semester. an MLA style Works Cited page of your sources at the end of the paper. use of the research sources in the text of the paper (the “in-text” citations). Double-spaced, 12 pt. font, all MLA style submission formatting.
The quotes should be complete sentences (no more, less) and should be incorporate-d in your essay to illustrate your ideas. Please, cite your sources in a clickable reference list at the end. Also, do not copy without providing proper attribution (quotation marks and in-line citations). Also, write an essay format, not in bullet form, numbering, or another list format. It would be best if you use your own words. Lastly, proofread your work and run it through Grammarly for thorough confirmation.
