You will write a 5-page book review of Fire and Ashes: Success and Failure in Politics. It is written by Michael Ignatieff, the former leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, who describes his day-to-day experience as a politician. It gives an honest picture of the practical realities of political life, especially for those who aspire to party leadership and Prime Ministership.
Canadian politics
The book is not like most books on Canadian politics that present an “argument” and seek to justify their claims. Instea-d, Ignatieff offers a series of reflections on his time as a politician, specifically on things he ha-d not learne-d from textbooks that would have been helpful to know before getting involve-d.
Because this book does not try to present an argument about a topic in Canadian politics, you do not need to give a summary of all of Ignatieff’s views as presente-d in the book. Instead, I want you to provide your own reflections on three topics or ideas that he discusses. You can respond to what he claims to have learned from some of his personal experiences as a politician, or what he says about the difference between the theory and practice of politics, his thoughts on specific topics like representation and standing, or anything else that strikes you as interesting

Your paper should include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Also, support your answers with the course’s readings and at least two scholarly journal articles. The article’s purpose is to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook.

Additionally, the quality of your writing dictates grading criteria. On the other hand, if you use direct quotes from books or articles, place the words you copied (use parenthesis) and cite in-line.
Additional Guidelines
The quotes should be complete sentences (no more, less) and should be incorporated in your essay to illustrate your ideas. Please, cite your sources in a clickable reference list at the end. Also, do not copy without providing proper attribution (quotation marks and in-line citations). Also, write an essay format, not in bullet form, numbering, or another list format. It would be best if you use your own words. Lastly, proofread your work and run it through Grammarly for thorough confirmation.
