Blockchain Discussion Assignment. Blockchain technology burst into cyberspace in late 2008 – early 2009. It was initially heralded as the secure, decentralized public transaction ledger for Bitcoin cryptocurrency. As with many “new” technology breakthroughs, many believed blockchain technology was the answer to many (if not all) secure processing needs. However, 14+ years after its initial appearance, blockchain technology has not come close to living up to all of the hype and expectations. The purpose of this discussion is to investigate blockchain technology and begin to understand: 1) the problems the technology has; 2) the challenges holding back blockchain adoption; and 3) what can/is being done to fix the problems and overcome the challenges.
Here is what needs to be in the paper/post:
Explain the key components of a blockchain and how they work together to provide secure transaction processing. Identify and explain a minimum of 5 major problems with blockchain technology. For each of the problems identified, discuss potential or actual fixes, work arounds or other approaches to fixing the problem > 1 & < 2 pages, minimum 4 sources sources must best listed at the end of the write up and each source must be numbered sources must be referenced in the write up by putting the source number in parenthesis at the appropriate location in the write up.

Answers with the course’s readings and at least wo scholarly journal articles. The article’s purpose is to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. Sources ProQuest and EBSCOhost are great sites to find resources. Also, write in a concise and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. Additionally, the quality of your writing dictates grading criteria. On the other hand, if you use direct quotes from books or articles, place the words you copied (use parenthesis) and cite them in-line. Also, only use sources within the five-year range.
