The final essay is where you make a claim; this argumentative research paper can be related to any of the themes/concepts you have learned in class or in another area related to advertisement and communication, but your thesis must be uniquely original. What do you wish to say? Your goal is to convince me why your idea is correct by using substantial, quality reasoning and clear communication.
Your essay must be at least five pages long (but you can have more if you wish), double spaced, Times New Roman or Calibri style, 12-point font, and use APA formatting (however, an “abstract” is unnecessary). In addition, you must use at least three scholarly sources from the course material when you submit your essay; if you wish to use other sources, show me prior to beginning. Please see me any time before you begin your essay if you wish. When you see theme about your essay, you must have a rough outline and be prepared to discuss your concepts.
Will critically engage with the concepts and provide adequate examples and explanations of the topic with concrete details. Your paper will be marked according to: a clear thesis; the correct use of relevant, class concepts; the comprehensive nature of your examples and context; clear meaning; logical organization of ideas; and your own voice.
Use Correct APA Format. Your paper should include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.
Also, support your answers with the course’s readings and at least two scholarly journal articles. The article’s purpose is to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook.
ProQuest and EBSCOhost are great sites to find resources. Also, write in a concise and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. Additionally, the quality of your writing dictates grading criteria. On the other hand, if you use direct quotes from books or articles, place the words you copied (use parenthesis) and cite them in-line. Also, only use sources within the five-year range.
