American Sociology Violence. What do you think of when you hear/read the word violence? Many thoughts probably come to mind. Violence is a global problem. It occurs on the other side of the world and in our own communities. Violence is preventable. Education is the first step in helping communities reduce and prevent the risk of violence.
Communities and researchers have developed prevention programs to bring awareness to residents on how they can contribute to reducing violence in their communities. You have been asked to share ideas on how to reduce violence. Select a current event on violence (school bullying, looting, rape, etc.) and in an essay, provide information about the violent event and educate a community on prevention techniques for the chosen violent event. Your essay should include a review of the violent event and prevention techniques.
The quotes should be complete sentences (no more, less) and should be incorporate-d in your essay to illustrate your ideas. Please, cite your sources in a clickable reference list at the end. Also, do not copy without providing proper attribution (quotation marks and in-line citations). Also, write an essay format, not in bullet form, numbering, or another list format. It would be best if you use your own words. Lastly, proofread your work and run it through Grammarly for thorough confirmation.
